This week marked two years since he carried out the attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29th 2024.

On Friday, the Metropolitan Police said he had been charged with assaulting an emergency worker on May 6th 2025, attempted grievous bodily harm on May 8th 2025, possession of an offensive weapon in prison on June 26th 2025, and assault on an emergency worker on October 28th 2025.

The Metropolitan Police said "Rudakubana was charged on Tuesday and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court via video-link on Friday September 11".

In May last year it was alleged that Rudakubana had thrown boiling water from a kettle over a serving prison officer.
